Basic Profile

Fu Kun serves as the Director of Shanghai Boxiang Law Firm, Member of the Intellectual Property Committee of Shanghai Bar Association, and Off-campus Supervisor of Shanghai University of International Business and Economics.

Since commencing his legal practice in 2008, Attorney Fu has been deeply engaged in intellectual property legal services covering patents, trademarks, copyrights and unfair competition. He has provided professional IP protection services for numerous well-known brands, including Midea, Great Wall, Sanjiao, Zuanshi, Shuangyu, Langqi, and Guangshi Pineapple Beer. A number of his handled cases have been selected as classic IP cases by the Supreme People’s Court and provincial-level courts, equipping him with extensive practical experience in full-chain IP enforcement and litigation.

Representative Cases

1. The litigation case between China Labor Publishing House and Fujian Qianyan, selected as the Guiding Case for IP Trials by the Supreme People’s Court (2022);

2. The “Zuanshi Baolan” trademark invalidation case: successfully invalidated the trademark registered in 2003 (with a registration history of over 21 years), honored as one of the Top 10 Typical Cases for Key Trademark Protection by Guangdong Trademark Association in 2024 ((2024) Jing Xing Zhong No. 7329);

3. Changzhou Xiangyu patent infringement case: secured a compensation award of RMB 15 million, ranking among the highest judgment amounts in the field of equipment renovation and modification disputes;

4. “Zuanshi” air curtain trademark infringement case: the Guangdong Higher People’s Court applied punitive damages, revising the second-instance judgment to RMB 7.36 million, one of the landmark high-value cases for time-honored brand IP protection ((2024) Yue Min Zhong No. 892);

5. Midea Group vs. Shandong Xiangmai trademark infringement case, selected as a Typical IP Case of 2024 by Guangdong Intellectual Property Protection Association ((2024) Lu Min Zhong No. 596);

6. Midea Group vs. Wujiang Yijieqing IP infringement case, listed in the Top 10 Judicial Protection Cases of Intellectual Property by Suzhou Intellectual Property Court (2017-2021) ((2018) Su 05 Min Chu No. 1020).
